Hi,
I just started using OpenEpaperLink again from scratch, having an AP v4 and 12 tags. Everything works fine, like Home Assistant, and current weather.
But after a couple of hours, when I look in the web UI of the access point, some of the tags show 'remote content' instead of the content I've configured, like current weather or items like that. I can see they check in on the AP, but they aren't refreshed.
Using the latest AP firmwares.
@nlimper commented on GitHub (Jan 6, 2026):
It seems your AP sees another AP (that's the 'remote content': content coming from another AP in a multiple AP setup. You have either multiple AP's running, or your WiFi AP (or other device) is copying the multicast UDP packets in a weird way.

I just switched from multiple APs to one single AP when starting from scratch. I will see if my WiFi does something weird.

So you DID use multiple AP's. In that case, make sure they are configured on a different ieee801.15.4 channel. And viewing the 'remote content' is normal and by design: in that case, the content is handled by the other AP. Only one AP is in charge of generating the content, the other AP is just passing it through.

I did use multiple APs, started new with one, erased and flashed the only AP. The tags were all connected to the single AP. When the tags show 'remote content' there was no other AP. But I understand your explaination. Thanks.

@nlimper Like just now, my AP, a v4, shows 'remote content', although I configured it to show Access point info.
